AI code animation

Is there an AI that can generate animations from code automatically?

Short answer

Yes. Models such as Claude Opus 5.5 can write animation code, and a renderer turns that code into a video. You can wire this up yourself with an AI coding tool and Remotion, or use a web generator such as Opus55Vid that writes the code, renders it and hands you an MP4 from one sentence.

Code-based animation draws text, logos, shapes and charts exactly, frame by frame, which is where AI video generators that predict pixels tend to blur or misspell. It does not make realistic filmed scenes.

Every route, side by side

Three ways to get animations from code with AI

All three end with the same kind of video; they differ in how much you set up and fix yourself.

  1. 01Do it yourself

    AI coding tool + Remotion

    You need
A Claude plan or API key, Node.js and a Remotion project
    Your work
Prompt scenes, fix timing and layout, render locally
    You get
    Whatever you build and export
    Cost
Your AI plan or API tokens for every attempt
  2. 02No AI

    Animation code by hand

    You need
A developer who knows an animation library
    Your work
    Write and time every scene
    You get
    Full control, slowest route
    Cost
    Your time or a developer's
  3. 03One sentence in, MP4 out

    Opus55Vid

    You need
    A browser
    Your work
Write one sentence; ask for changes in plain words
    You get
1080p MP4 with an original soundtrack and sound effects, 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1
    Cost
    About $3.33 for 15 seconds ($9.99 for 300 credits)

AI video generators vs code-based animation

AI video generators produce frames as pixels. That works for realistic scenes, but small text, logos and numbers can come out warped or misspelled. Code-based animation draws every element from values in the code, so a headline is real type, a chart shows the numbers you gave it, and a logo stays sharp.

The trade-off: code-based animation makes designed motion graphics (kinetic type, shapes, charts, UI-style scenes), not filmed footage or talking avatars.

What an AI that writes animation code is good for

  • Product launch and feature videos, where the UI and logo must be exact.
  • Explainers and data stories with charts and counters.
  • Short social videos in 9:16 with kinetic text.

Can I still edit the code?

Yes. In Opus55Vid you can ask for changes in plain words, and you can open the animation code if you want to tweak it. How the pipeline works is explained in how it works.

5 steps and a code editor — or 3 steps in your browser.

Coding required

Generating animations from code with an AI coding tool

  1. 1
    Get an AI coding setup
A Claude plan or API key, plus Claude Code on your computer.
  2. 2
    Create a Remotion project
Install Node.js, then run npx create-video@latest.
  3. 3
    Describe the animation
Prompt scene by scene; the AI writes React code for the motion.
  4. 4
    Fix timing and layout
Re-prompt until text, spacing and transitions look right.
  5. 5
    Render to MP4
Run npx remotion render and wait for the export.

No code

The same result with Opus55Vid

  1. 1
    Write one sentence
What the video is about: a product, a topic, an idea.
  2. 2
    Pick a length and format
    15, 30 or 60 seconds · 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1.
  3. 3
    Download the MP4
Preview in the browser, refine in chat, export 1080p.

Questions, answered

Is there an AI that can generate animations from code automatically?

Yes. An AI model such as Claude Opus 5.5 writes the animation code and a renderer turns it into video. Opus55Vid does both from one sentence and returns a 1080p MP4.

Do I need to install anything?

Not with Opus55Vid; it runs in the browser. Doing it yourself needs Node.js, an AI coding tool and a Remotion project.

Why use code instead of an AI video generator?

Code draws text, logos and numbers exactly, while video generators that predict pixels can warp them. Code doesn't make realistic filmed scenes.

Does the video have sound?

Yes. Every video has an original soundtrack composed for it, plus sound effects timed to the animation. There is no voiceover.

Is Opus55Vid made by Anthropic?

No. Opus55Vid is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Anthropic. It is also not affiliated with Remotion. It uses Anthropic's Claude models to write the animations.
