Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Opus55Vid ("Opus55Vid", "we") collects when you use opus55vid.com, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the Service, and we don't sell your data.
1. What we collect
Account data
Your email address, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider) and account settings. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google — nothing else, and never your Google password.
Your content
The prompts, text and images you submit, the animation code the AI writes for you, and the videos rendered from it.
Billing data
Payments are handled by Creem, our merchant of record. We never see or store your full card details. Creem sends us what we need to manage your plan: your email, plan, payment status and transaction IDs.
Usage and technical data
Your credit balance and history, the jobs you run (style, length, status, timing), and technical data such as IP address, browser type and error logs. We use these to run the Service, prevent abuse and fix problems.
2. How we use it
- To create, render and deliver your videos, and to keep your projects available for edits.
- To manage your account, credits and subscription.
- To check prompts against our content rules and keep the Service safe from abuse and fraud.
- To provide support and send important messages about your account (not marketing, unless you opt in).
- To understand costs and reliability and improve the Service.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not use your prompts, images or videos to train AI models, and we don't sell or rent your personal data.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: performing our contract with you (running the Service), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving the Service), legal obligations (billing records), and your consent where we ask for it.
3. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only what they need:
- AI model providers — your prompt and any images you attach are sent to the AI model (Anthropic's Claude models, accessed through API providers) to write your animation.
- Creem — payment processing, billing and taxes, and automated moderation of prompts before they are processed.
- Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, device and browser type and approximate location, to understand how the site is used. IP addresses are anonymized.
- Hosting, database and email providers — to store your account and projects, render videos and send account emails.
- Authorities — when the law requires it, or to protect our users, the public or the Service.
These providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
4. How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Rendered video files | Kept for 30 days after rendering, then deleted automatically. |
| Temporary render files | Deleted as soon as each render finishes. |
| Prompts that pass moderation | The moderation log stores only a fingerprint (a one-way hash), not the text. The prompt itself is kept with your project, as below. |
| Prompts blocked by moderation | The first 200 characters are kept for abuse review and deleted after 90 days. |
| Projects (prompts, images and animation code) | While your account is active, or until you ask us to delete them. |
| Account data | While your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of closing your account. |
| Billing and credit records | As long as tax and accounting laws require (usually several years). |
5. Cookies
We use cookies needed to run the site, such as keeping you signed in. With your consent we also use Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages are used; they are not set until you click "Accept", and you can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and limited staff access. AI-written code is only ever run in an isolated sandbox, both in your browser and on our render servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we'll notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach as the law requires.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data and account;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent you have given;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email support@opus55vid.com from the address on your account. We'll reply within 30 days. We don't sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as defined under California law.
8. Children
The Service is not meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
10. Contact
