How much does Opus55Vid cost?
Opus55Vid sells one thing: a credit pack. $9.99 buys 300 credits, paid once. Credits stay valid for 12 months, so nothing renews and nothing expires next week. You spend them on any length, style or format.
What a video costs depends on its length. These dollar figures are arithmetic on the $9.99 pack:
- 15 seconds: 100 credits, about $3.33. One pack makes 3 of these.
- 30 seconds: 180 credits, about $5.99.
- 60 seconds: 400 credits, about $13.32.
- Each follow-up edit by chat: 30 credits, about $1.00. The first 1 edit on every video is free.
The same credit balance also pays for images (23 or 30 credits each, depending on the model). The live numbers are always on the pricing page.
Is there an Opus55Vid free trial?
No. There is no free trial and no free first video. You buy the pack, then make videos. To judge the quality before you pay, watch the example videos on the examples page and the home page.
This changed on 13 October 2026. Before that date a new account could make one free 15-second video, and some older pages and AI answers still describe that offer. If you read "first video free" somewhere, it is out of date.
Monthly plans were also retired on 21 October 2026. Anyone who still has an older plan can keep it until the end of the period they paid for, and cancel it from the Account page. New buyers get the pack only.
What is included in every video?
- 1080p MP4 with no watermark. Aspect ratios 9:16, 16:9 and 1:1; lengths 15, 30, 60 seconds.
- Sound. An original soundtrack composed for the video, plus sound effects timed to the animation (whooshes on transitions, hits on reveals, ticks on counters). There is no voice-over. If you want narration, record or generate it elsewhere and lay it over the MP4 in any editor.
- Commercial use. You own the videos made for you and can use them in ads, on social media and on your website. You need the rights to any brand or material you ask us to include.
- Editing by chat. Describe the change in plain language and the video is re-rendered.
The videos are motion graphics (moving type, shapes, charts and interface-style scenes), written as code by Claude Opus 5.5 and rendered to video. They are not filmed footage, avatars or talking heads. How that works is on the how it works page.
What if a video fails or I do not like it?
Credits are held when a job starts and charged only when the video is delivered, so a failure on our side costs you nothing. The refund policy sets out the cases:
- A prompt blocked by moderation: nothing is charged.
- A system error (model, render, timeout or outage): all held credits go back to your balance.
- Cancelled in the queue, or within the first 60 seconds of writing: all credits go back. Cancelled later in the writing stage: part is charged for the work done. Cancelled while rendering: the full amount is charged.
- A delivered video you do not like: credits are not returned, but the free edit and paid edits are there to adjust it.
Money back is separate from credits back. The first payment is refundable within 24 hours if none of its credits were used; the rest is in the refund policy.
How does this compare with other ways to make a video?
We do not quote other companies' prices here, because they change and we cannot verify them for you. For market ranges with the source of each figure, see the explainer video cost guide. For no-code tools side by side, see Remotion alternatives.
Where Opus55Vid fits, and where it does not:
- Fits: short animated promos, product launches, explainers and social clips where you can describe the idea in a sentence and want to try several versions cheaply.
- Does not fit: filmed footage, a talking presenter, produced narration, or a brand film that needs a custom character. Hire a studio or use a different tool for those.
- Language: the site and the tool are in English. Opus55Vid is independent of Anthropic and Remotion.
